McKeigh, Executive Vice President of Corporate Operations Affairs for McCaughrin Maritime Global said, This modest increase from 2012 from 2011 was primary due to alot of people coming together and working out major problems that had risen from mining the sand on this Indonesia Island, and working out the kinks in the sand operations, and becoming more streamlined into The 21 Century to mimize sand waste, and cutting exessive machinery brakedowns with different loading equipment for the vessels.
When Brian R. McCaughrin, Founder, President & Owner of McCaughrin Maritime Global, First was awared a sand movement contract, He was very uneasy on seeing the amount of water coming aboard with the sand being loaded into his Pamax vessels, and made the comment: This will stop. This is putting our vessels in harms way with this water on board even if it pump out, it still in the sand, you can only pump out out so mush water in the cargo hold, and with people talking and finding a way to curb waste, and brakedown weekly, and fine tuning along the way, it all came together for everyone from the Sand Merchant, to Shipowner(s) to Customer (s).
Ms. McKeigh said, now with that problem out of the way, McCaughrin is thinking ahead in pushing to find dredging equipment to established a deeper harbour of 150 feet for The Sand Merchant to expand his markets in China to accept eather a #98,500 dwt Post Pamax Belted Self-unloader Bulker or even bigger yet with a "Vale" 350,000 dwt Belted Self Unloader bulker.
McCaughrin's said we would be able to deliver more cargoes to China "Specific Ports of Needs for the China customers with a Vale, and cutting deliver schedules, and cost by +85% with these type of vessels. Always thinking: More for less, this is what made U.S. Retailer, Mr. Sam Walton, Owner of Sams, The Biggest Retailer in USA, His belief was: To be big, you must think big, and he was right. Now everyone is trying to copy his tradmark pattern.
If The China Goverment wont let Vale, delivery brazilian ore in these Big Vale bulkers vessels, then why did the same China Goverment Financed Shipyard even build them da???? The China Goverment had to of know that these vessels were being designed and built right in their own backyard, come on....This will enchance lower prices, and better yield for ship owners bottom line, bigger is better, McCaughrin's have been going that route since we got into bulk cargo market, it just make economical sence.
McCaughrin's said Sell us a Vale, #350,000 dwt vessel, and We will Convert a VALE into The World Largest Self-Unloading Boom Belted Conveyor with Twin 350 foot booms, Located at opposite ends of the ships, Delivery #350,000 dwt of Sand to land in 2.5 to 3 days at #10,000 tons per belt x 2 = #20,000 tons per hour. We will not need any shoreline equipment at these facilites, Our Vale, will anchor out 275 feet from the dock, positioned both the booms over the side to the Un-loading facilities, and hit start.....and the rest is history.

Austal President, & COO, Mr. Joe Rella said, They have "The Answer" for Mr. McCaughrin's Cross Lake Commuter Service, of 58 miles that been on drawing board since, September 2006, that will service The Port of Frankort, Michigan and Algoma, Wisconsin.
Mr. Rella, said McCaughrin's "Needs" for a larger capacity of passengers then the former Great Lakes Based, Spirit of Ontario 1 of 2004, which McCaughrin's trying buying in Fall of 2004 and getting it re-register under U.S. Flag for $32M.
Mr. Rella, said The 80 Meter Passenger - Vehicles for McCaughrin''s can carry 967 Passengers and 228 Vehicles at conserative speeds, but Not where McCaughrin's wants them. He looking at 50 knots, and we are looking at 20 knots. When comparing: The Spirit of Ontario 1 with 886 passengers and 238 autos at 40 knots. These 80 meter engine are more fuel efficent then the former vessels, McCaughrin's were seeking, With the Spirit of Ontario 1, out of his grip, McCaughrin's went looking for East Coast Catamaran with 400 Passengers at 40 knots but with No Vehicles. The price was too high for age of craft, by that time, economic condition set in globally throwing out project for the interm till now.

Mr. Rella, said the 80 meter Catamaran would be the Largest on Lake Michigan by 100 feet longer then the Lake Express, that runs between Muskegon, Michigan, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin at 40 knots, and was built in USA. Announced 3rd Quartered Overseas Results, Ms. Elizebeth G. McKeigh, Executive Vice President of Corporate Operations Affairs for McCaughrin Maritime Global, Announced 3rd Quartered Overseas Results for 2011 were: 174.126% vs, 2010 3rd Quartered Overseas Results were: 125.551%, An increase of: +48.575%.
Ms. McKeigh said the +48.575% increase for the 3rd Quartered was another Extension of Sand Contract of addittional 3 months from August to October 2011 from the China Sand Merchant, plus the lower charter rate for same 2 Pamax bulkers McCaughrin's has secured for the past 2.5 yrs and not including these 3 months that McCaughrin's needed to secure this lastest agreement dropped from the Orginal $17,500 for #75,500 dwt and $16,500 for the #65,500 dwt to New Charter Rate of $9,500 for #75,500 dwt, and $8,500 per day for #65,500 dwt for the 3 months.
McCaughrin's USA Operations showed continued losses in the Container market to the tune of $1.5M on all ready out of control container rate, and charter rate.
McCaughrin's continue to pay down its debt regardless of the loss in the U.S Container market to $474,000 from $500,000 it borrowed in June 2006, cutting it principal by 5.8 yrs.
