Mr. McCaughrin said our talks with Mr. Donadio, of Rhode Island Fast Ferry Operators, of the: Incat Catamaran MV."Millennium" It is not, and I repeat: "Not" A Ro/Ro", but a Very Fast "Passenger Vessel Only", that can carry 400 passenger per trip at 35 knots. This vessel is State-of-the-Art Fast Ferry, Has First Class Amenities, Like the "Spirit", but "Lacks" The Carrying Capacity of Any Autos. In fact right now we cant find anything under U.S Class, that come close to "Ro/Ro "Spirit Of Ontario" in what we need, and that the reason for the "change in venue" from Ro/Ro /Passenger Carrier to Non Autos / Passenger Vessel, that we are in talk's with.
"Millennium" is currently under trade on 51 mile Route between Quonset Point Rhode Island & Martha's Vineyard for its Owners, on East Coast, and has very impressive, and proven track record. "Millennium" is 37 meters (121.6) long x 33 Feet Wide x 5.5 Draft. Powered by Four (4) KTA-38 Cummins Diesel Engines with #5,500 horsepower, and has Four Water-Jets.
Mr. McCaughrin said our talks with Mr. Wayne C. Lamson of Wood Holes, Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket Steamship Authority, said they have vessel available down the road Called: "Flying Cloud" that is 41 meter High Speed Catamaran, which is (134.48) feet Long, x By (34.44) feet wide, By (14.1) feet deep, and is powered by MTU 16V4000-M70 Diesel with #6,200 horsepower, and can carry 300 Passenger and Crew and fly at 35 knots, but again, "no carrying of autos" /// "Flying Cloud" Trade on smaller scale of 26 mile route between Hyannis Port, Maine, and Nantucket Island.
Mr. McCaughrin, said with the cost of rebuilding any one of the Twelefth (12) Ship's of last years, to Same High Standard's of "Spirit of Ontario" would super exceed the cost of just buying the "Spirit" at $29.8M, that would be a deal in itself right now.
The bottom line in any venture is it worth taking the gamble? The purshase of the "Spirit of Ontario" Yes, if we could gotton past all the "Jones Act" hurdle, "but" now with set of New Guidelines, with these mush smaller catamaran, that dont carry autos, bring in new set of challages. Can we survive in "Non - Auto Competive Service" on Lake Michigan, since it never been challanged before on routes between Michigan & Wisconsin Ports? We need to know that, "before we attempt" to launch it in 16 months from now.

Mr. McCaughrin, Who has never run a Cross Lake Ferry Operation's said, his firm's investors had the nessary capital put together December 1, 2006, and even had Secured Two (2) Docks, One in City of Frankfort, Michigan, and Port of Kewuenee, Wisconsin, within the Sixteen (16) month time period that this Purposed Auto/Passenger Ferry Operation, is to commence in Mid Year 2008, before looking at "Spirit of Ontario", and sadly Euroferriers UK, Still didnt have any docks secured in UK, not even a vessel, or the finances. /// McCaughrin's said we were looking at what was availble on the Great Lakes in USA, somethink that will fly, and get the job done each time we go out. The other vessel's we saw over Six (6) month period between June to December 2006, have seen totaling twelefth (12) based between the Great Lakes, To Nova Scotia, sadly all need major work, and registration is questionable on at least three (3) of the ships.
The "Spirit of Ontario", Is The Largest Catamaran On the Great Lakes at 284 feet long, and 78 feet wide, will out run any Ship at 50 knots, and out load any vessel with 774 passengers, and 238 Autos, Than anything currently on Great Lakes in operations!

Containers-Freight & McCaughrin Maritime Global, Would be creating the world largest container operations on the global by announcing Global Containers Service to Brazil from Any Point on the Global. Mr. McCaughrin, said any size containers would be in the mix. Mr. Claudio L.C. Leysen said all containers shipping owners, will be involed in the movement of these containers, because not one shipping firm covers the map to destination like Brazil.
Both Mr. McCaughrin, and Mr. Leysen said Country of Brazil would be looking at generating about One to Four Million TEU Containers in the First (1st) year alone. Discount of specific number of container would get addititonal price advantage due to the volume involed. Those shipper taking back empies containers back to their destination would also get bonus for the empty which now days is in high demand on both side of the world.
